Dumbo is the main character in the 1941, 64 minute, Technicolor Disney animated movie. The basic plot is that Mrs. Jumbo the elephant wants a baby. The stork delivers, the baby but the baby elephant has distinctive gigantic ears. The baby is ridiculed because of his enormous ears and named "Dumbo". Dumbo is relegated to the circus' clown acts and seems to be a failure. All the while, he is constantly ridiculed. His mother gets in trouble trying to defend him and is imprisoned in a circus car. His only friend, a mouse, helps Dumbo succeed. He learns that he can use his big ears to fly and becomes a hero, rescues his mother, and becomes the star of the circus.
