Shep is the pet elephant of the cartoon character George of the Jungle that thinks he is a dog. The cartoon George of the Jungle was produced for ABC TV and ran 17 six minute episodes during 1967-1968. In 1997 Disney released a live action 92 minute comedy based on the cartoon series. Shep is also present in this movie.
